Hey!
If you’re still looking for your Thursday night plans, I have a great idea for you.
You should come out to this incredibly fun and unique comedy show called THE HECKLE MIC tomorrow (Thursday, April 11) at Lucky Jack’s (129 Orchard St).
It’s truly like no other live show on Earth. It’s so cathartic and therapeutic. One of my favorite things about it is that it’s so easy to meet new people and make new friends. Come solo! You’re in good company!
But if you already have your friends, that’s even better too! Nothing brings people together more than some light teasing and inside jokes with friends.
In fact, we have a SPECIAL DEAL going on just for you… We have tickets starting at $8 and are offering a limited number of BOGO tickets! So, buy one ticket for yourself and one for your friend for FREE!
(Heads up: tickets cost more at the door, so I’d grab a ticket now while you can!)
These ticket deals are perfect for your post-work happy hour! There are no drink or item minimums, but Lucky Jack’s has plenty of cheap beers and a delicious cocktail menu that’s also affordable as Lower East Side bars go.
Plus, let’s be real nothing breaks the ice more than roasting your co-workers in person (without HR around). Have your co-workers sign up to get heckled and bring those backhanded compliments from Slack to life. Or not, of course.
While this show is centered around heckling and roasting, it doesn’t mean YOU - an audience member – will be roasted. We’re totally big believers of consent, and obviously, you know I am since I’m a staunch male feminist LOL.
But for real, if you come through, you won’t be roasted or heckled unless you decide to go on stage and/or heckle comedians yourself.
If you love watching (light-hearted and fun) drama unfold, definitely come through as an audience member. You’ll love it. Trust me.
Forgot to mention, this week we have a special guest – and it’s me, Demetrius Fields. You might’ve seen me on TikTok or from my podcast The Comedy Lottery. Here’s a promo flyer for the show tomorrow (and please disregard the fact that I look like Jafar on food stamps):
If you’ve never heard of me (highly likely) or aren’t one of the 3 Million people who follow me on TikTok, here’s my bio written in third person:
Demetrius Fields was born in Windsor, Ontario and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. He has been making comedy sketches since he was 12 years old and started performing stand up comedy in 2017. After graduating from the University of Michigan he moved to NYC. Since moving he has gained a massive following of over 2 million people and half of a billion views on TikTok. Demetrius has performed at colleges across the united states and has won stand up comedy competitions, including Mark Ridley’s “Detroit to L.A.” competition as well as having been featured at Big Pine Comedy Festival, New York Comedy Festival, and Very Big Very Asian Comedy Festival.
Anyways, long story short: tomorrow is going to be fire! I hope you show up. Bring your dates, co-workers, or come alone. It’s going to be a great time.
See you tomorrow,
Demetrius Fields
